Hi There! I’m Kieran Gamble
Director, Assistant Director, Gaffer, Assistant Camera

Bio
Growing up, my favorite experience was seeing the joy and happiness that movies did for everyone in the Theater. Despite it being the new age, and streaming services like HBO Max, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. are making more of an influence; that doesn't mean the same magic of entertainment isn't there. The ultimate goal for my career is to continue to bring all types of emotions like happiness, sadness, fear, and more to movies and television shows, while also giving light to new topics in different ways than what traditional film creates.
Professional Experience
Background & Expertise
May 2019 - April 2019
Production Assistant, FOUNDRY 10
With Foundry 10, my experience ranged with being a boom operator and recording sound, assisting the gaffer with both outdoor and indoor lighting, helping with the placement of the camera for scenes, being ahead of the slate, and also being an extra for scenes. One project we worked on was a 48 Hour Film Challenge across the Seattle area, where in three different locations we needed to do pre production, production, and post production for a story in a span of two days.
September 2018 - June 2020
High School News Team, Kamiak High School
Through my High Schools Advanced Visual Communications program, a portion of the class was selected to be a part of the school's news program. My job while being a part of it for two years was, planning out the schedule of topics, creating the scripts for anchors, serving as an anchor, directing production, operating either camera or sound for production, and editing the clips together to share to the school. My senior year I was assigned to be one of the two leaders of the News Team.
September 2020 - Present
Student Filmmaker, New York Film Academy
During my time at the New York Film Academy, I have worked on many student productions, including some of my own. Some of the jobs i've done includes writing movies scripts, organizing a crew, assisting in casting sessions, producing a film, finding locations/sets, setting up a set for the next scene, focusing and operating cameras, a head of slate, directing actors in their performance, and setting up lighting to name a few.

Educational Background
What I’ve Learned
September 2020 - Present
BFA New York Film Academy
The New York Film Academy was founded on the philosophy that "learning by doing" combined with best industry practices is more valuable than years of theoretical study for filmmakers and actors. This educational model allows students to achieve more in less time than at all other film or acting schools in the world.
September 2016 - June 2020
HSDG Kamiak High School
Kamiak High School graduate
September 2017 - June 2020
College in High School, Everett Community College
College in High School was a great program that helped me get college credit in my classes. I took two years of Spanish and two years of careers in education.
July 2019
Teen camper, New York Film Academy
Before I attended the BFA course in the New York Film Academy, they had high school summer camps for a week long term. During this course you learn all the basics of filmmaking.
My Skills
My High School Visual Communications teacher always told his students "There is always a new skill to learn, and those who think they've learned everything have already failed". This philosophy has taken me far in my filmmaking development. I have many skills, but at the same time I have much to learn.

Producing
Producing for film and television is a complex but necessary task to do in order to complete the project. A Majority of films that i've worked on, I've been a part of the pre production producing process. Getting permits, hiring crew, and casting actors are all a part of what I do as a producer.

Lighting
A video with out good lighting isn't a video with good visual appeal. Lighting is something that I've been working on for a while, and a skill i've mostly self taught myself until I reached college.
